At DAV Chapter 15, we are dedicated to supporting our veterans in Northeast Georgia. Our goal is to provide advocacy and support to veterans and their families.

Transportation

Our DAV Chapter has long served in the DAV/VA Transportation Network, paused during COVID for over two years. Previously limited to VA Medical Centers in Atlanta or Asheville, our newly re-wrapped van will soon transport veterans to all appointments, including Community Care and private doctors. We’re excited to launch this expanded program early 2025!

You can get involved by volunteering, attending our events, or donating to support our mission. We also participate in the Veterans Response Team, a joint-organizational effort to respond to the needs of the veteans in Habersham, Rabun, and Stephens Counties. VRT is looking for volunteers!

Does DAV Chapter 15 provide assistance with VA claims?

Yes, our chapter can help connect you with a trained Veterans Service Officer (VSO) who can guide you through the VA claims process, answer questions, and ensure you’re receiving the benefits you’ve earned. We have more than 5 Accredited Service Officers ready to assist veterans and their families!

To join DAV Chapter 15, you must have served in the U.S. military and have a service-connected disability. Membership applications are available on our website, and we’re here to help with any questions about eligibility or the application process.
